The Allen Bradley 1769-OF4 is a compact I/O module. The module is an analog output module with four (4) single-ended channels that can be configured to four (4) voltage and current channels. Applicable output voltages and currents range from ±10V, 0-10V, 0-5V, 1-5V and 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA. The output signal can be used to drive modulation actuators and devices. The module is compatible with MicroLogix 1500 and CompactLogix controllers. The Allen-Bradley 1769-OF4 module is an analog output module that generates a voltage/current signal. The module has four (4) single-ended outputs with an output voltage range of 0 to 10 volts and 0 to 20 mA. The module resolution is 15-bit unipolar/bipolar, and the current consumption is 1 mA at 120.5 volts. The module has a maximum heat dissipation rating of 2.86 watts and an outage time of 3.8 milliseconds for maximum conversion rates. The 1769-OF4 module has a 2% 9.63 ms stepping response rating and a resistivity load of 0 to 600 ohms or 1 KOhms; Or greater voltage. The 1769-OF4 module has a voltage output impedance of <1 MOhm and a current output impedance of >1 MOhms. The 1769-OF4 module has current circuit protection up to 40 mA and overvoltage protection. It has a power-on/power-off output response of less than 1 millisecond and a rated operating voltage of 30 volts DC. It weighs 280 grams (0.61 lb) and has module dimensions of 118 x 35 x 87 mm (4.65 x 1.38 x 3.43 inches). The 1769-OF4 is an Allen-Bradley Programmable Automation controller (PAC) component designed specifically for use as an analog output module for MicroLogix 1500 and CompactLogix controllers. The analog output module is designed to provide modulation final control elements (FCE) that drive a specific control loop, such as regulator valves, variable frequency drivers (VFDS), dampers, shutters and indicating devices such as indicators, loggers, data loggers and others. The analog output has an embedded four (4) single-ended output channels. Each channel can be individually configured for signal types such as 0-20mA and 4-20 mA current signals and ±10V DC, 0 to 10V DC, 0 to 5V DC, and 1 to 5V DC voltage signals. The module has a 15-bit output resolution and can be configured for unipolar and bipolar operations. Analog signals can be used or specified as the control output (CO) of a proportional + integral + differential (PID) controller, or to re-transmit the signal to receiving elements, such as indicators, loggers, data loggers, converters, and other similar instruments. Analog output signals can also be activated via human-machine interfaces (HMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), distributed control systems (DCS), and other computer-based or electrically-based manual loaders. The 1769-OF4 supports installation using either a MicroLogix 1500 controller or a CompactLogix controller, but module instances are limited by power distance ratings. For 1769-OF4, the required distance is eight (8). If more than 8 modules are required, another power supply can be installed in the CompactLogix component to verify the other modules.
