The 2711-K5A2 is an Allen-Bradley PanelView standard operating terminal with an integrated keyboard input interface, display area, communication port and internal memory. The electronics feature compact components that support flush mounting into an industrial-grade housing.

The 2711-K5A2 keyboard input interface consists of ten (10) function keys that accept local and global assignments, making any button available for a specific function or accepting variable assignments. In addition to function keys, the keyboard component also has a numeric key for entering numeric variables and constants; Navigation keys are used to highlight the corresponding object displayed on the screen.

The operating terminal also features a 5.5-inch monochrome screen with a display area of 120 x 60 mm (4.75 x 2.38 inches) and a resolution of 256 x 128 pixels. It comes with a replaceable internal backlight and is designed for up to 100,000 hours of operation.
