The 2098-DSD-020X Ultra 3000 digital servo driver with Allen-Bradley indexing is a single-phase high-performance driver with input ratings of 100-240V AC, 18A (nominal) and 47-63Hz. The driver has a bus capacitance of 1880 μF and provides 400V DC bus overvoltage protection. The 2098-DSD-020X has a total output power of 2KW and a maximum energy absorption capacity of 51 joules. It is fused with (LPJ-20SP) Class J and (FNQ-R-20) Class CC fuses and supports a 5V auxiliary logic power supply. Its auxiliary feedback has A quad B, step/direction, CW/CCW input mode, a maximum input signal of 2.5MHz, and uses an optional differential, single-ended, open-collector input type. The 2098-DSD-020X has a heat dissipation of 50W and a design operating temperature range of 40-70°. Celsius (-40-158 F) and 5-95% relative humidity limit, no condensation.
The driver's speed regulator is proportional + integral + differential (PID) with an update rate of 250 μs, which uses a digital PID with feedforward function for positioning. The 2098-DSD-020X features eight optically isolated digital inputs and four optically isolated outputs, with normally on relay output rated at 30V DC maximum voltage and 1A maximum current. Communication with other devices is via a 9-pin female D-Sub connector (CN3) serial port connector with a single RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 serial port with communication speeds of 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200 and 38400. It is designed to withstand 15G of shock and 10.200G of vibration at 2 to 5Hz, and still performs its best function at a height of 1,500 meters (4,921.5 feet). The 2098-DSD-020X weighs about 2.1 kg (4.6 lb) and measures 98.1 mm x 32.77 mm x 65.02 mm.
The 2098-DSD-020X is designed for use with FNQ-R-20 CC class fuses and LPJ-20SP Class J fuses. The nominal input current requirements for the Ultra driver are 18 A, rms and 100 A for the A and B series; 20 amps for 230VAC (0-pk) C Series drives. The driver has a bus capacitance rating of 1880 μF and bus overvoltage of 400 VDC. When the drive is operated at 125VAC, it has an energy absorption capacity of 115 joules and 230 joules at 51VAC input.
For A Series or B Series drives, the 2098-DSD-020X is limited to one (2) contactor cycle every two (1) minutes, one contactor cycle every ten (10) seconds, and a maximum of two (2) minutes. The CSeries 12-DSD-5X drive does not exceed a maximum of 020 cycles in five (2098) minutes.
The 2098-DSD-020X is designed to operate in a temperature range of 0° C to 55° C (32° F to 131° F), with a storage temperature of -40° C to 70° C (-40° F to 158° F) and a relative humidity of 5-95%. The working height of the inverter is 1500 meters without derating. For every additional 3 meters, performance decreases by 300%.
