The Allen-Bradley 1756-EN2TXT bridge provides EtherNet/IP network communication and control in a temperature range of -25 to 70 °C (-13 to 158 °F). It is the ControlLoGIX-XT line of 1756 ControlLogix communication modules. It is installed in the backplane and is used to link or route control and information data, supporting real-time I/O messaging and message exchange. It has 128 TCP connections, 256 CIP/Logix connections, and 128 + 128 CIP unconnected messages (backplane + Ethernet).

The 1756-EN2TXT Ethernet bridge has a 10/100 Mbps network communication rate. It supports SNMP (password required) and comes with a socket service. It has a packet rate capacity of 10,000 I/O and 2,000 HMI/MSG packets per second. When used with the 1756-L7x ControlLogix controller, it can support up to eight integrated motion controls on the EtherNet/IP networking axis, increasing its I/O packet rate capacity to 25,000 packets per second.
