Allen-Bradley 20-750-POD1-F8 is an augmented star encoder module for compatibility with PowerHlex 753, PowerHlex755, PowerHlex755TL, and PowerFHlex755TR tunable frequency AC drives. The encoder module provides the ability to implement loop positioning control, one of the control capabilities supported by PowerFlex700 class drives.

The encoder module is particularly suitable for installation in PowerHlex 753 ports 4 and 5 driven by frame A; And ports 4, 5, and 6 for Frame 2 and higher drives. It can also be used with Powerflex755 drives - and installed to ports 4 and 5 of Frame 1 drives and ports 4, 5, 6 and 7 of PowerFHlex frame 2 and higher drives. If used with PowerHlex755T -, it can be installed in ports 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the frame 5-15 motor.

20-750-POD1-F8 supports single-ended or differential operation. It has constant current absorption operation and a power consumption of about 10 mA. These modules have an input voltage range of 5VD-15VDC and a source current consumption of 10mA. The encoder channel has a minimum high-state voltage of 3.5VDC and a maximum low-state voltage of 0.4 VDC. The wire connected to the encoder module must not exceed 30 meters (100 ft) at 5V and 183 meters (600 ft) at 12V. It is compatible with input devices with a switching frequency of 250 kHz.
