The Allen-Bradley 1746-IB16 is a medium-density DC input module designed to interface with signal devices and provide a signal voltage range of 10-30VDC to each input channel of the module. The module has sixteen (16) input channels with a nominal input voltage of 24VDC, divided into one (1) input group with a single common terminal. This input module is installed into any available I/O slot in the 1746 chassis and absorbs 0.05A@5VDC backplane current.
The 1746-IB16 supports only inlay cabling configurations. It is used to connect electrical components, such as switches, including limit, approach, push button devices, and auxiliary contacts for relays, contactors, and other electronic devices.
