The Allen-Bradley 1734-EP24DC Power expansion unit delivers the 24V DC electric field to the I/O module on the right. The power expansion unit extends the backplane bus power supply to 17 I/O modules on the right side of the power supply. This power supply creates a new field voltage partition for the field drive device. The 1734-EP24DC separates the field power supply from the I/O module on the left side of the device.
