The 1440-RMA00-04RC module is an aviation-derived module from Allen-Bradley and is part of the XM family. This is a 2-channel module designed to monitor aero-derived gas turbine engines such as the GE LM2500 engine. The 1440-VAD02-01RA module configuration can be done by channel to perform a bandpass filter or a tracking filter while continuing to monitor the overall wideband level on each channel. In addition, the 1440-VAD02-01RA module aero-derived module accepts signals from most typical standard voltage output measurement devices, such as pressure or speed sensors. In addition to the vibration input, the 1440-VAD02-01RA module also accepts a tachometer input that provides speed measurement and order tracking. The module also features an onboard relay that can be expanded to five relays, two 4 to 20 mA rated outputs, and buffered outputs for each unit input.

The 1440-RMA00-04RC aero-derived module can collect data in start/taxi and state ready conditions. In addition to this, the module can monitor up to 12 alarms, which makes the 1440-VAD02-01RA module a complete monitoring system.

This module can be used as a standalone device. In addition, it can be used in private or standard DeviceNet networks, where it provides status information and real-time data to PLCS, DCS (Distributed control systems), condition monitoring systems, and other XM modules. Before installing the 1440-RMA00-04RC module, be sure to calculate the power requirements of all interconnect modules through the side connectors. The total current consumption through the side connector should not exceed 3 amps. If the total current consumption of the interconnection modules exceeds 4 amps, make sure to use a separate connection.
