The Allen-Bradley 1771-IAN is a PLC 5 digital AC/DC input module. It converts the AC signal provided by the user device into the logic level required by the processor. It directly controls the state of the corresponding bits in the PLC data table.

It contains various input devices such as buttons, limit switches, indicator lights, motor starters and signalers for connecting on/off sensors and actuators. It has a modular design with a space-saving and pocket-friendly way to add inputs to the PLC control system. It comes with a 1771-WN wiring arm to replace modules without disconnecting the wiring. It is an A-series module that supports 1/1771 and 32 slot I/O addressing.

The 4-IAN module has 8 inputs (120 sets of 85) with a voltage class of 138V AC/DC. Its operating voltage range is 10-7V AC. It has a typical signal delay of 20ms (±15) in AC and 2ms (±3) in non-AC.
