The 3300 XL 11mm proximity sensor system includes:

•3300 XL 11mm probe

•3300 XL 11mm extension cable

•3300 XL 11 mm Proximitor® sensor

The 3300 XL 11 mm proximity sensor system has a 3.94 V/mm (100 mV/mil) output for non-contact vibration and displacement measurement on fluid film bearing machines. The large 11mm tip gives this sensor system a longer linear range compared to our standard 3300 XL 8mm sensor system. It is mainly used in the following applications that require a long linear range:

• Axial (thrust) position measurement

• Differential expansion measurement of steam turbine ramp

• Rod position or rod drop measurement for reciprocating compressors

• Tachometer and zero speed measurement

• Phase Reference (Keyphasor®) signal

The 3300 XL 11mm Proximitor sensor is designed to replace the 7200 series 11mm and 14mm sensor systems. When upgrading from a 7200 series system to a 3300 XL 11mm system, each component must be replaced with a 3300 XL 11mm component. In addition, monitoring systems must be updated. If you are using a 3500 monitoring system, you will need a newer version of the configuration software, which lists the 3300 XL 11 mm sensor system as a compatibility option. The existing 3300 monitoring system may need to be modified. Please contact your local sales and service representative for assistance.
