These accelerometers are necessary for critical mechanical casing acceleration measurement applications, such as gear mesh monitoring. The 330400 is an accelerometer Association standard 670 designed to meet U.S. petroleum demand. It offers an amplitude range of 50 g peaks and a sensitivity of 100 mV/g. The 330425 is identical except that it offers a larger amplitude range (75 g peak) and a sensitivity of 25 mV/g. If the protection of the overall housing measuring machine is being undertaken, the usefulness of the measurement for each application should be taken into account.
