The 3500/50 tachometer module is a two-channel module that receives signals from eddy current sensors or magnetic sensors (unless otherwise noted) to determine the speed of the shaft, the acceleration of the rotor or the direction of the rotor. It compares these measurements with a user-programmable alarm point and sends an alarm when the point is exceeded.
The 3500/50 tachometer module can be programmed using the 3500 Frame configuration software, which can be configured into the following four different types:

The 3500/50 also has a peak-holding function; It can store the highest RPM the machine has ever achieved, the highest reverse speed, or the number of reversals (depending on the channel type chosen). These peaks can be reset by the user.
