The 3500/50M tachometer module is a 2-channel module that accepts input from a pickup truck near a detector or magnetic detector to determine the shaft speed, rotor acceleration, or rotor direction. This module compares these measurements based on user programmable alarm setpoints and generates alerts when setpoints are violated. The tachometer module uses 3500 rack programming configuration software. The following configuration options are available:

Speed monitoring, set point alarm and speed belt alarming speed monitoring, set point alarm and zero speed notification speed monitoring, set point alarm and rotor alarming acceleration speed monitoring, set point alarm and reverse rotation notification

The 3500/50M tachometer module can be configured as a backplane to provide a conditional key phasor signal 3500 rack for use by other displays. Therefore, you do not need a separate Keyphasor module on the rack.

The 3500/50M tachometer module has a peak-hold function to store maximum speed, maximum reverse speed, or the number of times the machine has rotated in reverse. You can reset the peak value.

Consider the following guidelines and pre-order restrictions:

An external termination block cannot be used to internally terminate an I/O module.

When ordering an I/O module with an external termination, the external termination terminal block must be ordered separately from the cable.

l Only TMR I/O modules use bus external termination blocks.
