Stadtwerke Lohr am Main has acquired 39 GT pneumatic piston actuators and 13 CK modular electric actuators for two municipal waterworks supplying water to the Bavarian town of Lohr am Main and the surrounding area. The gas turbine actuators are installed at the plant in Schweiberger, while the CK electric actuators are installed at the plant in Wumbach.
In both places, water is extracted from six springs and two deep Wells, while being treated at seven waterworks. Actuators mounted on 2 - to 12-inch butterfly and gate valves are used to drive isolation valves on these plant streams for filtration, storage and distribution.
Underground tanks with a capacity of 5,500 cubic meters store the treated water, which is then distributed through a network of pipes about 180 kilometers long
