Working principle

The 3500/42M 176449-02 Displacement/vibration monitor uses a linear variable differential Sensor (LVDT) to measure axial displacement and a Eddy Current Velocity Sensor (ECVS) to measure radial vibration. LVDT produces a voltage signal proportional to displacement, and ECVS produces a voltage signal proportional to vibration velocity. These signals are converted into digital signals by the monitor and transmitted to the 3500 monitoring system.
